The jacket is the horse leather version of Lot.303. AW25 Collection converts the item's lightweight, single-layer construction to lined designs suitable for autumn and winter. The lining features wool/linen fabric used for Lot.116 Long- Point Collar Sports Shirt.
The item uses vegetable-tanned leather made from horsehide, using a tanning technique called pit-tanning. In the method, hides are soaked for a long time in a pit filled with vegetable resin tannin. As it requires a lot of time and effort – the soaking phase takes about a month – only a few companies practice this method in Japan. MUD DYED BROWN is carefully hand-dyed one by one in Amami Oshima Island. Because BLACK uses horsehide with brown core, the brown eventually manifests when the black color fades over time.
We made engraved iron buttons used on coveralls from the 1910s. MUD DYED BROWN features rust-processed buttons, while BLACK uses buttons finished with smoky coat.
Our products are dyed with natural dyes, so there may be uneven dyeing, but it is a characteristic of the product. Please note that the color may fall or migrate when exposed to sunlight, friction, or wetting with water for a long period of time. Please avoid layering with white or light-colored items. The iron accessories used for tack buttons, rivets, buckles, etc. are faithfully reproduced in the details of old times, and since the materials have not been faithfully processed to prevent rust etc, Therefore, there is a possibility that the accessories may rust or become dangerous (sharp pin tips) when used. About Size and Dimensions Even for the same item, there may be individual differences of 1 to 2 cm due to the production and processing process. Tucks and gathers are measured by placing the garment naturally without spreading it out and adjusting the shape of the product.
