The engineer coat is a redesign of LOT.401 Engineer Coat from the AW2021 season, blending elements from American and British work coats in the 1940s.
The item, with a length somewhere between a jacket and a coat, features the brand's signature high-waist belt. The lightweight design gets rid of lining. The fabric is a soft linen inspired by French linen of the early 20th Century, notable for its softness achieved by extensive kneading process. The fabric was dried indoors to retain natural wrinkles. MUD DYED BROWN is carefully dyed one by one using "mud dye" , the traditional dyeing technique of Amami Oshima Island. None of them look the same, as all of them are one of a kind.
