LOT.103 WORK SHIRT P/O
Choose options
An inspiration from the 1910s work shirt discovered in Ohio. From chin straps, pen-holder pockets and wide front placket to the straight silhouette without shoulder slope, the design retains as much details of the era as possible. The body was made wider and the length was shortened so as to make it easy to wear without a stress. The fabric is our original, made of undyed, uncarbonized wool yarn for the weft, and undyed USA Superior Pima organic cotton yarn for the warp. Carbonization is a process using acidic liquid to carbonize and remove impurities from animal hair. Uncarbonized yarns carry the original, natural texture of wool. Deep black dyeing technique is used to absorb light and create a depth in blackness. This technique has been developed by Kyoto Montsuki, a brand dedicated to dyeing kuromontsuki, the traditional Japanese formal wear, for over a century. By dyeing only the wool, the fabric achieves a deep, nuanced shade reminiscent of a rakuchawan (tea bowl), with brown particles peeking from the depths of blackness.
Our products are dyed with natural dyes, so there may be uneven dyeing, but it is a characteristic of the product. Please note that the color may fall or migrate when exposed to sunlight, friction, or wetting with water for a long period of time. Please avoid layering with white or light-colored items. The iron accessories used for tack buttons, rivets, buckles, etc. are faithfully reproduced in the details of old times, and since the materials have not been faithfully processed to prevent rust etc, Therefore, there is a possibility that the accessories may rust or become dangerous (sharp pin tips) when used. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damages caused by the use of this product, so please check the product thoroughly and make sure you understand the product. About Size and Dimensions Even for the same item, there may be individual differences of 1 to 2 cm due to the production and processing process. Tucks and gathers are measured by placing the garment naturally without spreading it out and adjusting the shape of the product.
