The item is inspired by an American cardigan of the 1910s. A photo, presumably from the United States in the 1910s, features two men wearing newsboy caps and collarless double-breasted cardigans with two rows of buttons. While these details are typical features of French workwear, the photo itself was taken in the United States. We extracted visual details as much as possible, while redesigning finer specifications and the overall silhouette based on our interpretation as a brand.
This model is made using a plain wool fabric blended with cashmere. By emphasizing the inherent texture of the material and its soft, understated expression, the piece quietly draws out the simplicity and refinement characteristic of cardigans from the 1910s.
