The jacket originates from an unbranded American coverall dating to the 1910s. As mass production advanced in the 1920s, workwear was defined by straight-line construction and flat patternmaking, prioritizing durability for heavy labor. These garments existed less as clothing and more as functional tools.

While inheriting the original specifications of the era, this jacket has been carefully restructured for improved wearability. The shoulder slope has been subtly adjusted to reduce excess fabric under the arms, refining the balance without compromising its utilitarian character.

The twisted mélange gabardine is an original fabric developed using Kemonogasuri yarns, which possess a texture reminiscent of animal hair. Its design draws inspiration from chambray fabrics used in Italian military trousers of the 1910s. Two different yarn types, totaling four colors, are used in the warp, creating depth and a softly abraded surface appearance. A degreasing washer finish is applied to achieve a smooth yet dry hand feel.

The lining is made from an original blanket fabric. Cotton is used for the warp, while the weft incorporates a mélange wool blended with British wool, resulting in a coarse, tweed-like texture reminiscent of vintage garments. Additional brushing and washing processes are applied to create a dry, aged expression.

The buttons and back hardware feature original engravings and are crafted from iron. Intentionally left unplated, they are designed to develop rust and patina over time, allowing the jacket to age naturally and gain character through wear.
