Fabric with a different pattern and color is used for each part in this custom- made item in memory of the era when workers treasured their old garments for many years through countless repairs. The rusty and weathered buttons, rivets, and buckles establish a distinctive presence. The handwoven fabrics used in the item are produced by Tsuchiya Weaving Studio (Tsuchiya orimono-sho) in Nara. From cotton cultivation to spinning and weaving, the fabrics involving craftsmen's touch throughout the manufacturing process possesses a comfortable texture unique to manual work and durability.
