LOT.520 VARSITY LETTERMAN VEST

An inspiration from the 1930s American knit vest. The Varsity Letterman Vest dates back to 1865 when students at Harvard University baseball team wore thick grey flannel team pullovers with a large"H" letter sewn onto them. The practice of fashioning a symbolic letter on garment to advertise affiliation with a team became popular, and university clubs across the country eventually adopted the tradition. The knit vest was worn as a variation of the letter sweater. Alpaca-blended fluffy yarn is used to realize a warm, hand-knit feel.
