This is a result of a study and arrangement of a jacket personally developed in the late 1930s by the owner of a British coat manufacturer for his recreational sports activities. Features include single-piece raglan sleeves with wide allowances for movement, thick wool rib used on the cuffs and the back of collar, and a deep front placket. The item also features a zipper with U-shaped stopper reminiscent of the era. The fabric, our original oatmeal (tweed) featuring linen weft, is inspired by nearly a century old deadstock recreated with Shetland wool to mimic the dry wool. Various colors are blended to the yarn for a further depth.
