LOT.303 COVERALL JACKET

The Jacket originates from an unbranded American coverall from the 1910 discovered in a coal mine.
T.T's coverall jacket is a fruit of our fascination for a vintage jacket added to Takahashi's collection after over a century.
This season, T.T.'s signature coverall jacket features a revived "TWEEDUROY" and hand-painted cotton fabric."TWEEDUROY" is a corduroy printed with a tweed pattern to resemble wool tweed. Primarily used for boys' clothing and school uniforms, the fabric seems to have been developed for a greater durability compared to wool. This unique fabric was developed by Hockmeyer Company in Massachusetts. Over time, the fabric found its way into adult clothing as well.
HAND DRAWN SUMI is Inspired by marbling works created with sumi ink by Kamisoe, a karakami workshop based in Kyoto, we hand-painted cotton fabric with sumi
ink to capture the subtle nuances of brushstrokes crafted by a Yuzen dyeing artisan. Each piece is truly one of a kind, as the hand-drawn brushstrokes and variations in shading differ slightly from item to item.
The buttons and backside parts marked with original engravings are all made of iron, which is uncoated by design to produce aged beauty over time.
