LOT.207 MINER TROUSERS

Based on 18th century work trousers discovered in California.

At that time, there were no belts and braces were essential for dressing up. Also, as belt loops themselves did not exist, people lived with buttons on the waistband and wore braces on them.

The silhouette is deep in the crotch and thick from the gutter to the hem. The doughnut buttons are a design taken from a personal 1910s coverall, made of iron with no rust-proof plating. The ‘buckle back’ is also made from original molded iron. Both the donut button and the buckle back are stamped with the distinctive brand iconic Art Deco pattern.
