The item is based on work shirt from the 1930s.
Work jackets and shirts from that time often lacked symmetry, as pockets were designed primarily to keep specific items. The seemingly stylistic beauty of details add attraction to the era before the mass production.
The dobby stripe used in the fabric is inspired by the 1894 fabric book published for custom shirts. Our original indigo yarn and American cotton yarn dyed in yellowed color were woven on an old-type power loom to produce the fabric. Degreasing washer process was added in the finish to give it a dry touch typical of an aged fabric.
