LOT.108 ITALIAN COLLAR SHIRT

The Italian collar shirt was popular as a casual shirt worn at resorts during the post-World War II economic boom. The shirt had a more curved flounce than the open collar, making it perfect for relaxed wear at a time when T-shirts were not worn even at resorts. To take advantage of the bold all-over print using Kyoto's yuzen dyeing technique, the shirt has an unbuttoned Italian collar with minimal detailing and a single ball-rimmed pocket. To match the feel of the cotton satin material, the garment was tailored with the bag seams used for high-end shirts, instead of the usual 2-needle circular stitching.
The print on each item is different, making this a highly rare product.
