LOT.007 US NAVAL HAT

The hat designed for the American Navy in the 1940s, known as Naval Hat, was discovered in New York. The brim was shortened and redesigned for easier wear. Like LOT.004 Newsboy Bag, the stitches are deliberately placed at random intervals to create a vintage ruggedness. The original fabric _ American-grown Superior Pima organic cotton woven on an old-type power loom _ is finished with degreasing washer process to revive the texture of vintage clothing. SAKURA and MUD DYED BROWN are carefully dyed one by one using "cherry blossom dye" and "mud dye", the traditional Japanese dyeing techniques. Unique expressions characterize the craftwork, as each item looks different from others.
