The suspender, one of T.T’s iconic items, is the result of his close study of a suspender from the 1920s Takahashi found in Ohio.
He ran an analysis to find the composition and knitting of the rubber part to be cotton and rayon. In addition to the original, beautiful stripe, he designed the clasp from scratch based on the Art Déco clasp popular in 1920s.
