LOT.328 COVERALL JACKET WHIT CHINSTRAP

A thorough study was conducted on coverall jackets from the 1920s to 1930s, featuring the distinctive chinstrap design. As clothing at the time was still in an experimental phase, many construction details are difficult to reproduce today without exceptional sewing skills.

Among the rare pieces studied was one constructed with a pattern that joins the shoulder seam and sleeve cap with one continuous stitch—an efficient but highly advanced technique. The curved armhole seams were also carefully replicated based on the original.

The fabric is an oxford weave made from a blend of linen and cotton, achieving a balanced texture that is both structured and soft. IVORY is finished with a slow, thorough washing process that creates a naturally worn look, while SUMI is hand-dyed piece by piece, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind appearance.

The buttons and buckle, marked with original engravings, are all made of iron, which is uncoated to produce aged beauty over time.
